Kai Iwi Lakes Campground

Pine Beach Campground is on the eastern side beachfront of Lake Taharoa. It offers a true camping experience for tents, caravans, or motorhomes. The maximum capacity is 480 people. This campground has 39 powered sites (maximum 5 campers per site including children aged 5+), 320 non-powered camping sites (1 site per camper including children aged 5+). Two ablution facilities (separate male and female), hot water showers ($2 coin operated) and flush toilets including accessible shower and toilet cubicle per male and female.

Promenade Point Campground is situated on the western side beachfront of Lake Taharoa. It offers a true camping experience for tents, caravans, or motorhomes.  This campground has 120 non-powered camping sites (1 site per camper including children aged 5+). Ablution facilities (unisex), flush toilets including a standard accessible toilet cubicle.

There is a strict no pets and dogs’ policy to protect the native wildlife, please see our campground rules for exceptions.
