Muriwai Beach Campground (previously Muriwai Motor Camp) is a large spacious campground adjacent to the 60km long Muriwai Beach and set within the 380 hectare Muriwai Regional Park.
The campground is now under new management and has undergone an extensive upgrade to include a host of new facilities. There are new fully equipped kitchen and shower blocks, mens and womens toilets, family/accessible toilet/shower facilities.
We have 67 powered sites and 66 unpowered sites, and the campground is only 40 minutes drive from central Auckland
Muriwai beach has a number of local activities for visitors to enjoy. You can hire a horse and ride along the beach, take a surf lesson, swim, fish, visit the Gannet colony, mountain bike in Woodhill Forest, take a bush walk or play a round of Golf at the Muriwai Golf Club. There is also a local cafe, takeaways and we are also in close proximity to the local wineries and eateries. Muriwai is also the end point of the challenging Hillary Trail.
