Pauanui Glade Holiday Park is situated in beautiful Pauanui on the Eastern Seaboard of the Coromandel Peninsula. The park is located alongside the beautiful Tairua River estuary, and is a well maintained campsite offering a relaxed atmosphere, excellent service, great facilities and a range of affordable accommodation options.
Our motel units, chalets, studio units, convention centre, motorhome and camp sites are available for casual booking, but be aware we book out fast from March onwards. Our Peak Season is from 1 December to 30 April and Low Season 1 May to 30 November.
Our park is family friendly with a playground, TV and games room, with wifi, boat parking and fish cleaning facilities on site. We have recently upgraded our ablution block, and have spacious kitchen and laundry facilities available to all guests. Our motels have their own barbeques. We are very close to the boat ramp and ferry jetty and the ocean beach, jetty and shops are all within walking distance from the camp.
Pauanui is a great holiday destination located just off the beaten track, and right by the sea. Wide open spaces, safe and clean waters, white sandy surf beaches, fantastic bushwalks and spectacular harbour views create the perfect family holiday environment. Pauanui has a great shopping centre, good restaurants, golf course, mini golf and cycle and hiking trails abound. All this is within 2 hours drive of Auckland and Hamilton.
Tairua and Pauanui The twin harbour towns on the Peninsula’s east coast, Tairua and Pauanui, offer a superb setting beside the Pacific Ocean. Close by is Paku, a twin-coned Maori pa sculptured hillside that was once an island, while offshore you can find the Slipper, Shoe and Alderman Islands. The islands, bays and inlets make for great boating exploration and fishing trips.
A number of charter and fishing boats operate from the wharves and the beaches are perfect for safe swimming and surfing. A passenger ferry links the two towns, as it is a long drive around the harbour. The area has a number of great walks and many activities including game fishing, canoeing, horse trekking and bike trails.
Tairua is the older of the two towns and originally a milling and farming community. Across the water is Pauanui, where Pauanui Glade Holiday Park is situated. Pauanui itself is a purpose-built holiday community that features the country’s first canal housing development further along the Estuary .
