The campground was recently purchased by the NZMCA. We operate a public campsite with access to all facilities, alongside a private NZMCA Park available for members travelling in self-contained vehicles only.
Insiders have been flocking to beautiful Hampden Beach for many generations to enjoy the safe swimming beach and awesome fishing in the bay.
You might see the endemic Hector’s dolphin in the bay and a leisurely stroll along the beach (25 minutes) will take you to the ancient and mystic Moeraki Boulders.
