We are proud to open the “Pathway to Park Owner Scholarship” for applications. This is designed to support passionate individuals or couples who want to join our industry.

If you’ve ever dreamed of running a holiday park, or know someone who has, this could be the opportunity that changes everything.
The scholarship includes:
– Mentorship from experienced park owners
– Professional support
– A full delegate pass to the HPNZ Conference & Expo

The criteria for entering is simple:
Eligibility:
- Must be a New Zealand resident or citizen
- Must be actively exploring or planning to own or operate a holiday park in NZ
- Can be an individual or a partnership (e.g. couple, business partners)
- No current ownership of a holiday park/Has never owned a holiday park
Selection Criteria – Applicants should demonstrate:
- Clear motivation to enter the holiday park industry
- Basic understanding of the sector (e.g. tourism, accommodation, regional dynamics)
- Willingness to engage in mentorship and learning opportunities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Desirable (but not mandatory):
- Prior experience in tourism, hospitality, property, or business
- A specific holiday park opportunity or region in mind
- Community involvement or leadership experience
What the Scholarship Includes:
- Professional support
- Mentorship from experienced park owners and HPNZ members
- Graphic design support for branding or pitch materials
- Full delegate pass to the HPNZ Conference & Expo (excludes travel and accommodation)
- Access to additional learning and networking opportunities

As part of the application process you will need to answer pertinent questions regarding your past experience, upload a short video (2–3 minutes) explaining your motivation and vision and provide 2 references.
