Plenty of trees for shade and the Waitangi River running along one boundary for safe swimming and kayaking up to the Lilypond Falls, passing the animal farm park on the way. Free tour bookings and pick-up: cruise the Bay of Islands, swim with dolphins, charter a yacht, take a day trip to Cape Reinga and 90 Mile Beach.
