The Team at Whangapoua Holiday Park welcomes you to our holiday park and aims to make your stay an unforgettable Kiwi camping experience for all the right reasons. We are a small park with a relaxed family feel and friendly hosts.
Away from the hustle and bustle our park is just down the road from the white sands of Whangapoua Beach and a beach rated as one of the ‘top 20 beaches’ in the world – stunning NEW CHUM BEACH.
Positioned at the site of an old forestry headquarters our park features original forestry cabins that have been tastefully redecorated. We have large tent and powered sites in a spacious campground surrounded by young pohutukawa trees.
We offer a kitchen equipped with everything you need, BBQ’s on the communal deck, children’s playground, modern bathroom facilities and free wifi.

Park Information

Secluded NEW CHUM BEACH is a stunning stretch of golden sand fringed by magnificent old phutukawa trees and native forest. It has reached international status and is accessible only by foot or private boat. Described as ‘a slice of Coromandel heaven’ the journey to reach New Chum Beach is well worth the effort and a ‘must do’.
Whangapoua Holiday Park is ideally situated halfway between the townships of Coromandel Town and Whitianga making it the perfect base from which to explore the spectacular Coromandel Peninsula.
